We firmly believe that play is the natural way for children to learn. The world is an exciting place with lots of new experiences and challenges we aim to support children in these new adventures and help them explore and experience new things. We work in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage, which is a Government document which supports and provide guidance for everyone working with children in early years.
We use the framework to assist our planning of activities and daily routines. We plan according to the seven areas of learning
1. Personal, Social and Emotional Development 2. Language and Communication 3. Physical Development 4. Mathematics 5. Literacy 6. Understanding the World 7. Expressive Art & Design
Children learn best when they are happy and feel secure. Whilst your child is playing at Tarleton Day Nursery they are actively learning about literacy, numeracy and the community and the natural environment.
“Children learn as they play. Most importantly, in play children learn how to learn” (Fred Donaldson)
