Our ethos:
Love, Laugh, Learn

-  VISION, VALUES AND MISSION  -

At Walmer Bridge Day Nursery we strive to provide a safe, welcoming and caring environment, where children are loved and nurtured. We aim to provide a cosy ‘home-like’ space, where children feel appreciated, develop secure attachments and friendships, and have a sense of belonging and togetherness within our nursery family. Our nursery staff are present, responsive and attuned to their key children, offering them strong connections, stability and security. We wish to create pleasure and happiness for our children, to support their personal, social and emotional well-being and development.

At Walmer Bridge Day Nursery, we recognise and celebrate the uniqueness and differences of our children and their families. We are proud to be an inclusive setting, which offers a welcoming atmosphere to all. We endeavour to build strong partnerships and openly communicate with our parents and families, with mutual respect.

We aim to inspire children and provide them with powerful play spaces that offer invitations to play and learn. We are dedicated to offering a wealth of fun and exciting experiences that develop the children’s enthusiasm for learning and expand their natural curiosity. We aim to create awe and wonder, allowing children time to become fascinated, deeply involved and immersed, to investigate, explore, discover and learn.

At Walmer Bridge Day Nursery, we support sustainability. Within our learning environments, we offer open-ended and ‘real’ resources that encourage children to be creative and develop their imagination. Our sustainable approach teaches our children to have an appreciation for their world. We are delighted to be able provide opportunities for our children to experience their local community though trips, visits and outings, which deepen and enrich their learning.

At Walmer Bridge Day Nursery, we appreciate the importance of early education. We have designed a meaningful curriculum that supports us to provide our children with the essential knowledge and skills that they need to prepare them for their future. We wish for our staff to be empowering educators and pioneers that appreciate the children’s full potential. We aim to provide ample opportunities for our staff to engage in continuous professional development and training, enabling them to be effective and highly knowledgeable in their job roles. Our staff members are committed to go above and beyond to provide our children with the best possible start to their early education and to guide them to become everything that they are capable of becoming!
